Welcome New Teachers and Administrators to District 106

The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted another event earlier this month celebrating 53 years of one of our community’s most cherished assets – our teachers and administrators.

This year the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry paid special tribute to District 106 for its commitment to the wellbeing of all students. With one in five students experiencing some form of mental illness, school involvement is critical. Good mental health is vital to success in school and life. Mental health is not simply the absence of mental illness; it encompasses social, emotional and behavioral health and the ability to cope with life’s challenges. District 106 was recognized for providing expert assistance and working with many local organizations in the region to be a truly collaborative community partner.

LaGrange Medical Center and Urgent Care were honored to supply Band-Aid dispensers in goodie bags and provide a Fitbit for the raffle the 53rd Annual New Teachers and Administrators Welcome Breakfast.
